‚Web analytics', or also called ‚web controlling', is dealing with the evaluation of user behavior of single websites in web projects and forms a key part of online marketing.

Web analytics has two different approaches:

  1. Monitoring of the website and related campaigns (OffPage):
    Observation of defined performance figures e.g. PageView per session,
    site views per visitor, ratio of costs/ revenues, etc.

  2. Optimization of the site (OnPage):
    Analysis of user habits (which sites, zones, passages or designs are
    preferred read/ seen? Which links are called?) and appropriate optimization.
